Oh No! Twilight move over...

This can't be happening.

This has to be a dream...a very good dream.

Okay all you ladies out there that love Twilight. Here is your next Muse.

My husband in all his infinite wisdom once told me that an author has one paragraph to catch and bring in their readers. And it's true. Usually if I struggle with the first chapter in a book I will set it down and never pick it back up...

Ladies, this book didn't take one chapter or even one paragraph...this book took one whole sentence and I was turned to mush.

"I'd been waiting for the vampire for years when he walked into the bar."

Done.

'Dead Until Dark' by Charlaine Harris...

I'm done for! Blog you all later...

No really, that did not just happen...

WHAT???
I really didn't think I was going to have the 'hickey' conversation with my boys until they were much older. Granted, I didn't think that Cade would be giving them to himself either.

My four year old beat up a little boy at day care today. Yep! So proud, wouldn't you be? We got two notes. First one read, "Morgan began hitting a little boy repeatedly..." The second one read, "He beat up a little kid from a smaller class." Hmmm, still not sure exactly what happened...Little chap spent his entire evening in his room by himself. Let's see if it sticks!

You all know I am addicted in every way, shape and form to Red Vines. Well, one of my wonderful teammates pulled out a 5 lb. tub of them at work. No No No! Please don't do this to me... Well let's just say that I can eat Red Vines at anytime of the day, and that tub is now 2 lbs lighter just because of me! *sigh*

Alright...So long suckers. Blog you all later...

Forever In Blue Jeans

Cade and I after a massive Lego search for that one missing piece among millions. Don't worry, we found it...eventually.

We are always the ones behind the camera, this is my chance to get out in front and be in the pictures with my family. So I've decided...

Oh! Kimber just did this over on her blog and I love it...Here is mine!

So I've decided...

To start my 5K training this week.
That taking care of one child is easier than two.
That I complain too much.
I prefer a good book over a great movie.
That my family rocks! (Every one of them...)
My Red Vine addiction is a problem.
That frozen grapes are better than chocolate cake. (Try it!)
To start writing letters instead of emails.
That I hate to talk on the phone.
I like squash.
That you can overcome your Twilight addiction, but why? *sigh*
That I don't miss television.
and like Kimber, I love to go to the movies ALONE.

Lovely!

Forever In Blue Jeans

Wow! I went on my first tubing trip ever last week and it was awesomely COLD! I say this alot, but I have lived in Washington for almost 12 years now and I still have so much to experience. My beautiful friends joined me on this '3 hour freeze your tushy off tour'. And below are the pictures to prove how crazy we were to tube in a snow run-off river...

Above: Jen, Me and Katrina. Check out the beautiful tube tie-down Jen & I did. Picture was taken by Marie...

So the river was a little dried up at the beginning. Loking back thank goodness because I probably would have suffered hypothermia if it hadn't been it was good exercise to get the blood flowing in our soon to be frozen legs and feet.

I was trying to lean back here and NOT be in the picture. Instead I look like I am going to be ill. So this is me, Katrina and Marie...photo taken by Jen.

Ahhhh...the scenery was quite breath taking...

And lastly, this is me after 2 1/2 hours inside my tube...I can't believe the picture is not blurry because there was not a single part of me that wasn't shivering...Ladies- I love you all and I would do this again anyday if I get to spend it with you all.

Priceless...

It is a Morgan and me week for five days. Cade and Bob are off in San Diego trying to win some Pokemon Video Game Championship. It's no big deal. Cade just finished in the top 4 in the United States so he got a free trip to San Diego to compete for the Big Kahuna...

Yeah, it's kind of a big deal actually, but I will talk about that later. I have a priceless moment for you all.

Trip to Nordstrom to buy Morgan some new shows (aren't they cute?): $45.00
Trip to REI to buy Morgan a new school jacket/hoodie: $35.00

Dinner for Morgan and me at Claim Jumper: $22.00

The look on Morgan's face when the motion sensor toilet flushed while he was still sitting on it:
Priceless...

Now go experience your own priceless moments. Would love to hear about them!

Quote of the DAY...

Morgan: "Mommy, if I take all my clothes off it's called my 'Birthday Suit'."

Me: (In my mind) After four years of life for this child, that was NOT taught to him by his parents...it's was taught to him by his Gramsie.

*sigh*

I miss you guys already.

Goodnight...

Observations of an Early Morning Walker...

You notice a lot of things when you go on early morning walks, especially about little creatures...here are some of my recent thoughts in no certain order...hey, on the weekend I take looong walks so I have a lot to think about!

"Hello, Mr Spider? Can you please cast your webs just a little higher? I don't particularly like to wear your home, especially if you are in it."

"Hey you annoying Blue Jays, do you see this concrete path? I promise I am not going to leave it. I am not interested in feasting on your bird eggs."

"Oh Dear, that sunlight beam is only inches away from that slug...Must seem like a mile to them." The next day-same spot..."Oh well, looks like he didn't make it."

"Hey everyone, can you please adjust your sprinkler systems so that they will spray the sidewalk too? I need a little cooling off."

"What? C'mon, that really wasn't a white bunny rabbit. Was it?"

"Oh Boy, another hill...just what my numb legs wanted!"

"Um, excuse me. Can you please trim back your plants so they are not over hanging the sidewalk...especially the blackberry bushes?"

"Why oh why did that racoon just cross the road? He really should talk to the chicken first."

Hope your walks are as enlightening as mine!

Four Squared...

What a quiet home we had today...almost eerie to be honest. Now the boys are sleeping and Bob and I are typing away on our Blogs. So very relaxing.

We love company...we love entertaining too. We don't do it alot, but it is a blast everytime. We had the pleasure of having my neices and my SIL & BIL stay with us over the past week. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of them, but I did get my neices and my boys...here is the FOUR SQUARED crazies during another one of those HOT days last week (WARNING WARNING - We actually had a day where the temperature was 103 degrees. I know you midwesterns are like, 'Humph! Big Deal'. Well, please remember that we usualy don't have temperatures above 85 degrees, therfore WE HAVE NO AIR CONDITIONING...) Okay- back on task...check these cuties out!

Okay now onto our next guests which arrive tomorrow! Can't Wait...

Just Another an AWESOME Saturday...

So, I have lived in SeAttle for 11 years noW and I can truly say therE is no place like it in the United States...I love it here. PleaSe come Out and visit and you May all seE why!

Okay let me get to the topic - see the picture above ^^^. It took me 11 years to finally go see the Blue Angels Airshow at Seafair. ELEVEN YEARS! Why did I wait so long???

It was my first ever Air Show to boot, and it was performed over Lake Washington which was truly AWE inspiring. The Blue Angels came all the way from Pensecola, FL (one of my favorite beaches!) so that we could all stare up at the sky for 30 minutes. They turned and rolled and continuously made me jump at their near misses and close flying. These 6 pilots have 'Nerves of Steel', in the words of my insightful husband. I have to agree.

Now here are a few pictures to show you just a glimpse of these incredible pilots and our hot afternoon...

The boys - anticipation is almost better than the actual event - but not this time! There were hundreds of boats waiting for the show to start. These photos don't do the water craft justice...

Now here are the money shots...they were loud and they were low. I hope you all have a chance to see them as well someday (you ladies with little boys - they will love this!)

Okay, I am off to nurse the right side of my body, which is currently hot pink...oh sunblock! Why do I avoid you when I obviously need you???

Forever In Blue Jeans

Okay...I am a couple of days late on this but it was worth it! We just returned from a great trip to the 2009 Seattle Seafair Airshow featuring the Navy's elite squaron, the Blue Angels. I know, I know... You have all seen them, but this was the first time I have ever been to Officially Watch them...This photo was taken pre-show, hence why I still look happily white...currently I am a nice shade off hot pink! Aren't my glasses cute? I LOVE them! Except they make my entire face sweat - oh well, the things we do for fashion.
