...i miss a phone, that is plugged into the wall...That is un-equipped with caller id...I used to love the feeling of getting a call and the surprise you would get when you realized who it was on the other line. Cellphone have taken away the 'romance' in a simple phone call. This is how it was when I meet the love of my life...and those calls were priceless.
...i miss un-predicted weather...the days of looking out the window to see what the day may hold, instead of accessing it on the web to see what the next 10 days hold.
...i miss planning your evening based on 'your show' and how special those times could be. Now, you have hulu, itunes, netflix, youtube ~ and you can watch an ENTIRE season in a day. (not to be a hypocrite, because I am currently addicted to netflix instand movies)
...i miss the magic that technology has removed these past 10 years, and it makes me slightly...sad.
...my wonderful husband has a saying when he pulls off one of his super-duper surprises on me. I of course always want to know how he managed to pull one over on me soooo well. So what does he say?
'Don't ruin the magic.'
...and that is what i miss the most...the magic of the unknown, the unaccessible. Where did it go? My boys will never know these feelings...{sigh}
Sometimes...

I get it...it is amazing how different things are now than how they "used" to be...
